PURPOSE :
To maintain a timely and accurate inspection of product to meet Customer requirements.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS AND JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Inspection and documentation for first piece, in process, final, layered floor audits, roving floor inspection, incoming and returned goods inspection per established procedures as assigned.
- Includes part and material inspection, may include gage calibration, tool layout inspection and part testing from established procedures.
- Document and scan records per departmental procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Must perform other departmental duties as assigned and may be assigned to other areas.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or his / her designee.
- The incumbent of this position may have a modified shift to fulfill any 2nd shift quality requirements.
- Able to use computer software to create capability histograms and charts.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
Read, write and use given algebraic formulas. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Required 3-6 months training.
LANGUAGE ABILITY :
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, process sheets, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Have good communication skills.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be flexible in work assignments and be able to work cooperatively as a team member and demonstrate respect and courtesy to all internal and external customers.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in a factory environment with noise, oil, and smoke.
The employee will be working with scientific calculator, copy machine, scales, micrometer, caliper, arbor press, rockwell hardness tester, micro-hardness tester, mounting equipment, optical and electronic gage comparator, profilometer, hand tools, plating thickness, and tensile testers, surface grinder, belt sander, hand truck, spc software, and roundness measurement equipment.
