Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated HelpDesk Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of system administration, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality support.Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, drivers, and applications. Perform equipment upgrades as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Identify, log, and resolve technical issues related to software and hardware, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Training: Provide onboarding training for new employees on software usage, applications, and IT security policies.
- User Support: Deliver technical support to users, responding promptly to inquiries and providing clear resolutions.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of the company’s desktop infrastructure and propose ways to improve system efficiency.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed reports, logs of job tickets, and records of maintenance tasks.
- Communication: Clearly explain technical issues to clients and colleagues in a non-technical manner, ensuring understanding.
- System Administration: Manage and maintain computer systems, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot recurring issues.
- Automation: Analyze recurring issues and develop automated processes where feasible to improve efficiency.
- Problem Resolution: Reproduce, diagnose, and analyze reported problems, then implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in IT support, helpdesk, or similar role.
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, and software configuration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Familiarity with system administration and performance monitoring.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with automated processes and streamlining IT operations is a plus.
