A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTO PARTS ADVISOR
As an Auto Parts Advisor, you support our service department by finding the highest quality parts at the best prices. You establish and maintain great relationships with external vendors, ensuring that we always receive prompt service when we urgently need a part. Communicating frequently with our service advisors and technicians, you order parts proactively and guarantee that we always have what we need for every vehicle repair and reconditioning job. As the market fluctuates, you update our internal software systems with current pricing and delivery information. You also provide parts for retail customers.
In addition to ordering parts, you track vehicles through the reconditioning process, using the AutoFluent software system to keep detailed records of the progress of each vehicle we work on. Constantly communicating between our external vendors, internal technicians, and customers, you help everyone stay on the same page and ensure that we are consistently delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines. Your satisfaction comes from working with a great team and getting customers safely back on the road or into their next car!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTO PARTS ADVISOR
- 1 years of clerical or administrative support experience
- Advanced computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Knowledge of DealerTrack is a plus
