JOB SUMMARY

The SEM Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing paid search campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, ensuring efficient budget use and maximum visibility. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams to develop strategic SEM initiatives, analyze performance data, and implement continuous improvements. JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Campaign Oversight & Optimization :

  • Develop, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, ensuring efficient budget allocation and maximizing campaign visibility and performance.

Budget Management :

  • Monitor daily and monthly campaign expenditures, ensuring that budget use is optimized for the highest return on investment while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Performance Analysis :

  • Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEM dashboards) to track key performance metrics. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improving ad performance and campaign effectiveness.
  • Strategic Collaboration :

  • Work closely with the digital marketing, creative, and merchandising teams to ensure SEM initiatives are aligned with broader marketing strategies and in-store promotions.
  • Bid & Ad Copy Management :

  • Manage bid strategies, test ad copy variations, and perform A / B testing to improve click-through and conversion rates across campaigns.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination :

  • Liaise with external vendors and agencies to ensure that SEM activities are executed seamlessly and meet performance benchmarks.
  • Reporting & Communication :

  • Prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights, and communicate recommendations to marketing leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement :

  • Stay current on SEM trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices. Apply new insights and innovative tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and webinars to refine your skills and support overall marketing initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience suggested but not required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience managing SEM campaigns, with a proven track record of driving performance and managing budgets effectively for large spend ecommerce accounts.
  • Technical Proficiency :

  • Strong experience with Google Ads (and similar platforms) and proficiency in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to inform campaign decisions.
  • Familiarity with bid management and A / B testing strategies.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking :

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Proven strategic mindset for planning and optimizing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Communication & Collaboration :

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Organizational Skills :

  • Strong project management skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May supervise junior SEM specialists or coordinate with external agency partners as needed.
  • Must be based in the United states and able to travel regular to the client for on site hybrid work.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds periodically.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all facilities.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for both in-person and electronic interactions.
  • Close vision required for computer-related tasks.
