What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local Class driver Meridian MS position at DriveLine Solutions?
We're looking for CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Drivers who want consistent routes, predictable pay, and the ability to be home every day.
Competitive Pay & Benefits:
- Average Pay: $1,400 per week ($72,800/year )
- Start at: .56 cpm
- Weekly Miles: Average of 2,500 miles per week
- Additional Pay:
- Stop pay: $25 per stop (5-7 stops per week)
- Loading/unloading pay: $25 per stop
- Schedule: Monday through Saturday with varying start/end times (Saturdays are mandatory)
- Home Daily: Most routes are local deliveries with daily home time
- Benefits, 401k PTO , Holidays
- Occasional Overnight: Some routes may require a 10-hour sleeper berth break 1-2 times per week
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver portable storage units to customer storage facilities across MS, AL, GA, TN, and LA (19 locations)
- Forklift training provided for loading/unloading units (when necessary)
- Secure loads with straps and drive to destinations
- Must live within a 75-mile radius
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be at least 21 years old
- No reckless driving convictions in the last 5 years
- No DUI convictions in the last 5 years
- No suspensions or revocations for moving violations within the past 5 years
- No serious moving violations in the last 12 months (e.g., 15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, fatal accidents involving a CMV)
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the last 3 years
