Job Summary:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for providing fleet maintenance and expertise and support to the entire organization. The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that TDP vehicles operate in optimal condition and are maintained based on usage and preventive schedules. The role leads the mechanics and team in strict compliance with all transportation and safety regulations and laws, all employees receive adequate and ongoing support and education regarding ongoing skill development as well as compliance, and that all documentation is in alignment with both organizational and external regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be organized, experienced at all aspects of commercial vehicle transportation regulations specifically in the passenger area, with the ability to lead, coach and guide in the areas of expertise, with influence and education. The successful incumbent will be an excellent resource and teammate, and perform at a high level of effectiveness with a diverse group of constituents on a consistent basis.
· Build a skilled team and augmented overall maintenance effectiveness by hiring and mentoring maintenance technicians.
· Focus on operational efficiency and service quality by identifying and addressing areas for improvement.
· Supervision and perform major diagnostics and repairs on shuttle and bus systems.
· Promoting clear communication and effective decision-making by providing timely updates to senior management.
· Meet business objectives and goals by onboarding and assessing maintenance team members.
· Lead seamless execution of regular operations by overseeing maintenance compliance with contractual agreements. Optimize financial resources by contributing to budget development and management.
· Increase compliance and built safer work environment by creating training materials on safety and corporate policies. Follows all DOT, FTA, OSHA, and Driver Provider safety guidelines and policies.
· Maintain operational integrity by ensuring adherence to operational contracts and DOT regulations.
· Maintain an adapt fully operational fleet garage by coordinating setup of all personnel, acquiring necessary tools, and constructing facilities as needed.
· Streamline stock levels and reduced waste by managing inventory and control processes.
· Enable optimal skill development by training and scheduling technicians and supervisors.
· Ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by identifying and implementing improvements in service delivery.
· Achieve key performance indicators and operate in line with budget, demonstrate financial efficiency and operational excellence.
· Any other duties assigned.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required, BS in Business or related field preferred.
· Presious Fleet Manager experience with Passenger, fleet, or trucking transportation industry DOT/FTA knowledge.
· Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement.
· Possess a professional and positive attitude.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Organized with deep attention to detail.
· Working knowledge of MS Office products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Able to quickly absorb and work in industry specific applications and company specific programs and adapt to change
Eligibility Requirements:
· Work in Utah with travel to remote locations as needed
· Legal authorization to work in the United States.
· 23 years or older for company vehicle insurance requirements.
· Undergo a pre-employment background investigation
· Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
· Must be willing to submit to criminal background screening.

Physical Working Conditions:
Position would spend time in an office setting and field work in outdoor or garage locations, as well as inside various passenger vehicles. Office work may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Field work would require the ability to work outside in various weather conditions and actively enter or travel around in a vehicle. The position will also require the ability to lift, drag and push materials and equipment, paper and documents weighing up to 50 pounds.
Special Requirements:
(1) Must be willing and able to travel to and attend training and meetings within or outside the boundaries of the home area; (2) Must be willing and able to work outside regular business hours and on occasional weekends, attending meetings, etc. as needed; (3) Must maintain a valid CDL A or B w/passenger endorsement.
