The incumbent must be results driven to business needs, employee experience, and the public image. Provides HR partnership to optimize people, structure, process, and culture, with the goal of achieving business results. Understands the facility organizational structure as well as knowledge of federal and location/country/region laws and labor practices. Scope of position will include a wide range of difficult problems that requires strong discretionary skills.

Standard Duties

  • Demonstrates advanced-level knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in areas such as recruitment, employee and/or labor relations, workers compensation, payroll, compensation, benefits administration, and managing business partnerships with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the delivery of HR strategies to support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Partner with functional leaders and leadership teams to ensure the overall organization and culture are designed around strategic growth and performance goals.
  • Provide high level coaching and counsel to leaders.
  • Along with leaders and learning partners, help architect solutions for future talent needs.
  • Drive a strategic learning culture encouraging of cross-functional opportunities.
  • Lead the acquisition, staffing, development, and retention BorgWarner associates.
  • Advocate use of performance management and feedback mechanisms to insure frequent, candid communication with associates.
  • Rigorously pursues practical business solutions while spontaneously responding to the day to day needs of the business.
  • Developed full life cycle project management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Partner with Safety on incident investigation from initial claim to a resolution.
  • Strong focus on staffing and recruitment for area responsibility.
  • Strong focus on applying and operating within the BorgWarner Beliefs.
  • Facilitates a collaborative environment and implements appropriate change management initiatives.
  • Provides customer service to support the business through the consistent application of HR policies, recruitment strategies, performance management, data analysis, team progress and taking initiative on challenging assignments.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Manage high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".
  • Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvement in business objectives, productivity and development.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

  • Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Safety And Physical Requirements

  • All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear PPE when appropriate in designated campus areas.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5 years of HR Generalist experience, employee relations, change management, and recruiting preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR certification is preferred.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven track record of advanced-level HR generalist duties.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex business information in a clear and compelling way
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Data trending and analysis experience.
  • Understanding of Employment Law and Employee Relations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Workday HRIS experience preferred.

$68,800 - $94,600
