POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) oversees the financial operations of Driving Academy, ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability. They develop financial strategies, manage budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The CFO provides strategic guidance to support the company’s growth and operational goals.

We are the Driving Academy, we provide affordable, state-approved classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons for aspiring truck (aka commercial driver's license [CDL]) drivers, and we are growing by the day. Our mission is to help our students get on the Road to Freedom by earning their CDL! PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Develops and implements financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.
- Oversees financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Manages cash flow, ensuring financial stability and liquidity.
- Ensures compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Analyzes financial data and provides insights to support executive decision-making.
- Establishes internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
- Leads financial audits and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manages relationships with financial institutions, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Optimizes financial processes and identifies opportunities for cost reduction.
- Collaborates with other departments to align financial planning with business objectives.
- Mentors and develops the finance team to enhance overall financial expertise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 10 Years of experience in successive financial leadership roles (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field (required)
- CFA, CPA, or MBA in Finance (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, Financial reporting and tracking software (required)
- Experience in the education, transportation, or franchising industries (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, speaking, walking, driving, writing, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
- Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including COVID19 PPE
