POSITION SUMMARY
The Site Development Director oversees the establishment of new operating locations, including securing necessary licenses and permits, procuring facilities and equipment, and collaborating with stakeholders to expedite the opening process.

We are the Driving Academy, we provide affordable, state-approved classroom and behind-the-wheel lessons for aspiring truck (aka commercial driver's license [CDL]) drivers, and we are growing by the day. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
- Completes and submits initial applications according relevant agency requirements
- Conducts research on local, state, and federal requirements for fields relevant to opening branch locations for business operations
- Travels to offsite properties to assess location viability
- Sources and procures equipment necessary to operate Driving Academy locations
- Negotiates with merchants, real estate agents, or other relevant personnel to reduce cost expenditures, discuss lease terms.
- Plans layout of office and training facility
- Oversees collaborates with contractors to construct new locations
- Ensures facilities and equipment are compliant with regulatory requirements, including obtaining permits or inspections
- Collaborates with Human Resources and other key stakeholders to clarify hiring needs
- Participates in the hiring process
- Develops and manages budgets in the development of new locations
- Other Duties as assigned
KEY COMPETENCIES

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

- Advanced knowledge of project management principles and techniques
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelors Degree in business, finance, or related field, preferred
- Three years of experience in real estate and lease negotiation required
- Three years of experience in project management
- Three Years of experience in a leadership role required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, speaking, walking, driving, writing, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
- Perform work with OSHA required PPE; Including COVID19 PPE
