DRK & Associates, Inc., a commercial/industrial General Contracting firm in Vineland, New Jersey is seeking to fill positions for all our field operations. We welcome those driven to perform. Laborers - Perform a variety of physically demanding tasks to assist in the construction process. Duties include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
- Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor.
- Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
- Load or unload construction materials.
- Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
- Follow instructions from supervisors.
- Assist craft workers.
- Be prepared to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
- Perform site clean-up.
Skills & Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving history
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Must be punctual and reliable
Carpenters - Build and install structures and fixtures in commercial buildings or construction sites. Duties include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Measure, cut, and install metal studs & lumber according to measurements
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Perform on-site layout ensuring compliance with design documents
- Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
Skills & Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving history
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical, manual, and measurement equipment.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Recommended Skills
- General understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Industrial construction experience
Site Supervisors - Manage a team of contractors to complete construction projects. Duties would include, but not be limited to the following tasks:
- Work with project managers to coordinate tasks and trades according to priorities and schedules
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities
- Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
- Set an example by following all safety guidelines and enforcing on-site requirements
- Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget
- Identify, understand, and resolve onsite conflicts throughout the course of construction
- Coordinate with onsite and offsite personnel to resolve issues throughout the course of construction.
- Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Problem-solving abilities
Recommended Skills
- A basic understanding of Procore Construction Management Software (on-the-job training will be provided)
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
Field Project Engineer - Support both field and office activities. Spending most of the time working alongside the project manager or superintendent supporting project administration. Duties would include, but not be limited to the following tasks:
- Write and respond to emails in a professional and punctual manner
- Manage construction documentation
- Assist project managers and superintendents in resolving conflicts
- Perform quantity takeoffs
- Source and order materials
- Hold on-site progress meetings
- Create and update project schedules
Skills and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or 4 years of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Internship positions available)
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, and contract literature
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
- Willingness to learn
- Punctuality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation will be based on the position offered and experience.
