Job Overview: DRM America is seeking a Warehouse Inventory Associate to join our team in an entry-level role. This position is ideal for a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative. You will be responsible for scanning and managing equipment, taking inventory, sorting hardware components, and cutting cables and wires. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and experience with basic warehouse operations.
While the role involves a lot of independent tasks, training will be provided, and we expect the ideal candidate to demonstrate a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use scanners to track incoming and outgoing equipment.
- Record and maintain accurate inventory records in the company system.
- Ensure that all items are properly labeled and cataloged for easy identification.
Sorting and Organizing Equipment:
- Sort through various types of hardware, including computers, networking devices, and components.
- Organize equipment into appropriate categories for recycling or refurbishment.
- Assist with the categorization of parts for resale or recycling.
Cable and Wire Handling:
- Cut and prepare cables and wires for recycling or reuse.
- Organize and store cables and wires in designated areas for easy access.
- Ensure all materials are safely handled and disposed of properly.
Warehouse Operations:
- Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, to move inventory around the warehouse.
- Promptly helps unload shipments. Shipments are staged so they can be quickly triaged into inventory categories of As Is, Refurbish, Recycle and Data.
- Assist with general warehouse organization, including maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Support the team with any other warehouse-related tasks as needed.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Hardware Technician team to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Requirements:
- Warehouse Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations, including scanning, sorting, and inventory management.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with using barcode scanners and inventory management systems. Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to track inventory, sort hardware, and ensure all items are properly documented.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move equipment as necessary, including standing and walking for extended periods. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic inventory or equipment issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pallet jacks and other warehouse tools.
- Familiarity with electronics and hardware components, including cables and wiring.
- Prior experience in a recycling or electronics-related warehouse environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to walk short distances in a fast paced, warehouse setting.
- Ability to stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
