What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector Aide position at DRMP?
As a CEI Inspector Aide, you will be responsible for performing basic mathematical calculations and following simple technical instructions. Your duties will be to assist higher-level inspectors performing field surveying and construction layout verification, making, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests.

- A daily documentation of the contractor's work efforts.
- Project field book preparation and documentation.
- Density logbook preparation and documentation.
- Material sampling and testing.
- Assisting with preparation of the Final Estimate package.
- Measure distances to verify the accuracy of dimensions of construction activity/layout.
- Observes work in progress to ensure that proper construction procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications.
- Obtains and/or prepares material samples for laboratory testing.
- Examines workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
- Records quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
- Maintains daily log of construction and inspection activities.
- Must be High School graduate or equivalent
- Must obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT within the first six months of employment
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Position requires a minimum of 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime (Hourly).
