Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Work under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations and construction documents.
- Prepare accurate design, details, specifications, and construction documents.
- Prepare and track permit applications and submittal packages to local, state, and federal agencies.
- Coordinate with internal/external clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
- Perform construction observation of projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards.
- Provide shop drawing review, field observations, inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks supporting the Engineer of Record.
- Collaborate with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
- Research, interpret and implement relevant codes and client requirements.
- Review documents prepared by others as part of DRMP’s Quality Control policy.
- Participate in the development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Bachelor’s of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire (required).
- 0-6 years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history (required).
- Experience with water/wastewater treatment, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection system, and direction drill design – education or experience.
- Experience with site civil, land development, infrastructure design, and permitting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
