Position Overview:

The Director will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technical digital infrastructure development projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and experience in system integration and UAS applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Primary initial projects will include the development of a federally funded secure autonomy urban testbed focused on national security and commercialization. DronePort Network is also developing community airspace awareness and beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operational areas in multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, cybersecurity experts, and test site personnel.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and security.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensure financial resources are allocated effectively, and report on financial performance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Technical Oversight: Ensure the technical integrity and quality of all project deliverables, including the implementation of cybersecurity protocols and counter UAS measures.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, prepare project reports, and present findings to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in technology, cybersecurity, or related fields. Experience with UAS technologies and secure autonomous systems is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols, autonomous systems, and counter UAS applications. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Certifications: PMP, CISSP, or related certifications are advantageous.
