Kids Drone Flying and STEM Summer Teacher: DroneTogether
DroneTogether, a STEM based kids enrichment company is looking for an energetic person that will teach/instruct drone flying and STEM summer camps ranging in ages from 5-12 years old. This is such a new and unique idea and perfect for elementary school teachers looking to make some extra money during the summer break. It's a goal of our company to make a child's first experience with STEM education fun, so they will continue trying new things in this space for years to come.
*teachers can anticipate an average of 12-18 hours per week in this part-time position.
**starting part-time salary ranges from $30 - $36/hour, and if the teacher stays with the company for multiple summers, salary bonuses are included.
Responsibilities:
- Must work well with children
- Responsible and organized
- Reliable transportation
- Background check, FBI fingerprint and CPR/First Aid certification are needed
- Reliable email, text and phone communication
- High School Diploma required, Bachelors degree is preferred
- Experience with drone flying is preferred, but not necessary
- Teaching/Class Management experience with elementary age kids is preferred

Teaching Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation:
- Attend required trainings.
- Maintains equipment in proper condition.
- DroneTogether uniform is worn to each session
- Arrives at least 15 minutes early for each session to be set up the flying area
- Has the roster ready for arrival
Teaching:
- Ensures the safety and well-being of every child, first and foremost.
- Follow proper on site protocol for each location, as provided by supervisor and/or site director: most importantly is the pick up and drop off of each student.
- Follow the proper daily DroneTogether plan.
- Record students progress through the DroneTogether classroom app, when applicable.
Communication/Administration:
- Communicates in a timely fashion with the supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information / concerns.
- Distributes marketing material at location when necessary.
- Uses the cell phone app to clock in and clock out of every scheduled session.
