What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Business Account Director position at Drop of Chaos?
Welcome to Drop of Chaos, where creativity thrives on the edge, and a little bit of unpredictability fuels our best ideas. We’re looking for a New Business Director who isn’t just here to chase RFPs—but someone who gets a rush from the chase itself. This is a freelance/contract role for someone who knows how to cut through the noise, shake things up, and bring in the kind of clients who crave bold, unconventional thinking.
Who You Are:
- A strategic hustler with a creative soul—you get the business side, but you also get the art of the pitch.
- Nimble, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats (sometimes all at once).
- Someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves to build the plane while it’s flying, and doesn’t need a roadmap to get to the destination.
- A professional chaos wrangler who sees opportunity where others see obstacles.
- Deeply experienced in handling RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs—you know how to dissect them, strategize, and craft a response that makes clients take notice.
- A relationship builder who knows that great business isn’t just about the first win—it’s about keeping the fire burning with every client we bring in.
- Someone who’s in it for the love of the game—because at Drop of Chaos, we play to win, but we also play because we love what we do.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the charge on business development, hunting down opportunities that align with our disruptive, creatively chaotic approach.
- Develop and execute a strategy for client acquisition and retention, ensuring we’re always working with brands that excite and challenge us.
- Craft, refine, and present winning proposals that make clients stop scrolling and start saying, “We need this.”
- Work closely with our creative and strategy teams to ensure our pitches reflect our ethos—bold, clever, and unapologetically fresh.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients, ensuring that Drop of Chaos isn’t just a one-time hire but an essential part of their creative arsenal.
The Fine Print:
- Freelance/contract role – you bring the fire, and we’ll bring the fuel.
- Must be experienced in navigating the RFP/RFQ/RFI world with finesse.
- You don’t need to be based in one place, but you do need to be everywhere opportunities are.
- Compensation? Let’s talk. You help us bring in business, and we make sure you’re taken care of.
- If you read this and thought, “This is my kind of chaos,” then we should talk. Let’s disrupt, innovate, and make some magic together.
