About the Opportunity
Searching for your next challenge? Dropoff is looking for a Warehouse Associate. The Warehouse Associate performs receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Also responsible for counter sales, housekeeping, and related quality assurance activities.
**This role is located in New Orleans, Louisiana**
Responsibilities
- Handle all incoming shipments
- Safely inbound/outbound freight, inspect for any overages/shortages/damaged freight (OS&D), sort freight by designated delivery location and place in designated warehouse rack/bin.
- Unload & load box trucks and/or tractor-trailers.
- Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area
- Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves, and tables as needed
- Prepare bills of lading for outbound freight.
- Prepare and present recommendations that will enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.
- Operate forklift and other related equipment as required.
- Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate
- Receive, pick, pack and ship new fulfillment order requests.
- Monitor warehouse e-mail account during work shift.
- Responsible refueling propane tank
- Safely deliver items to clients in company vehicles (van, box truck, etc.)
Skills & Experience
Ability to adhere to all Dropoff rules and policies
Ability to be on time for the scheduled workday and to complete all work hours required
Strong attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, and related applications
Ability to work in a team environment and to get along with coworkers
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment
Ability to anticipate and prepare for customer needs
Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds or more
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Familiarity with and ability to learn automated dispatch, scheduling and logistics
software
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Minimum of one (1) year in warehouse operations is preferred but not required
Must be able to multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
Must be a TEAM player able to work well with other to accomplish goals
Must be willing to handle a flexible work schedule
