What You'll Do:
As a Billing Accountant, you’ll work closely with one of our most valued clients—a fast-paced, mission-driven medical staffing company. You’ll manage their billing operations and also support key accounting functions to ensure their financials are as strong as their impact.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle billing for a high-volume medical staffing business
- Generate and issue invoices accurately and on time based on client contracts and timesheets
- Reconcile billing data against payroll and placement activity
- Track and follow up on outstanding receivables, maintaining detailed records
- Work with client contacts to resolve discrepancies or billing questions
- Support month-end close activities (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and reporting
- Collaborate with internal team and client stakeholders to improve billing/accounting workflows
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in all financial activities
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in billing, AR, or general accounting (preferably in staffing or healthcare industries)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Great communicator—clear, respectful, and solutions-oriented
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic client environment
- A proactive and dependable team player who can also operate independently
