About the Role:
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of our engineering efforts, responsible for designing, analyzing, and prototyping the components that power our compressed air systems. You’ll collaborate closely with manufacturing, assembly, and purchasing teams to ensure your designs come to life with precision and efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Create conceptual designs and develop casting designs for rotors and housings.
- Use FEA to analyze designs and ensure their performance.
- Develop machining designs with geometric tolerancing to minimize errors.
- Prepare 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for production.
- Oversee prototype assembly and testing.
- Maintain detailed design documentation including drawings, bills of materials, and assembly procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of mechanical design experience, specifically with rotating equipment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong experience with part modeling, detailing, and creating 2D/3D CAD drawings.
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal).
- A strong problem-solver who can work independently with minimal supervision.
