Position Summary:
The Equipment Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance of our fleet of equipment. This role will involve evaluating equipment performance, developing asset management strategies, and ensuring that all equipment is operational and compliant with industry standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing the usage and longevity of our assets while contributing to cost efficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective equipment asset management strategy.
- Monitor the lifecycle of heavy equipment, from acquisition to disposal.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, including specifications, usage, and maintenance history.
- Analyze and report on equipment performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with procurement to evaluate and select new equipment and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Develop budgetary forecasts for equipment purchases and maintenance activities.
- Train and supervise staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance protocols.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure accurate reporting of inventory balances.
Qualifications:
- Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in equipment asset management or a related role, preferably in the heavy equipment sector.
- Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle management, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in asset management software and inventory tracking systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the Insurance field would be an added benefit.
- Computer skills are a requirement, must have at least have 4 years of experience utilizing asset based software and Microsoft 365.
