Our Hinsdale based practice is searching for a full-time (32-40 hours/week) experienced receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact. You will greet patients in a warm and friendly manner, perform high quality registration including checking in/out patients, answer telephones, schedule appointments and other administrative duties. We are interested in hiring someone who is pleasant with an outgoing personality, loves working with people, and will be a team player as this is a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct patient to the appropriate provider and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Modmed or similiar EMR system preferred
- Prior experience in a specialty office a plus
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Customer service attitude
Hours :
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm
2 Saturdays per month 7:30am-12pm
Tuesday evenings until 8pm as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
