Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and a keen eye for quality control. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The CNC Operator will be responsible for fabricating parts according to specifications and ensuring that all products meet the required standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Set up and operate CNC machines, including CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations and part requirements.
· Load and unload materials, tools, and parts into the CNC machine.
· Monitor machine operations and adjust controls as needed to ensure accuracy and quality.
· Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and adherence to quality standards using precision measurement tools (e.g., , micrometers, and gauges).
· Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating parts and ensuring the machine is in good working condition.
· Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or production issues promptly.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
· Document production activities, including setup, tool changes, and inspection results.
· Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve production processes and reduce waste.
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- · High school diploma or GED, certified or journeyman Mold Maker with 5 years of experience or equivalent
· Proven experience as a CNC operator or machinist (minimum of 5 years preferred).
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
· Proficiency with precision measurement instruments.
· Familiarity with different types of CNC machinery (e.g., vertical/horizontal mills, lathes).
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Experience with Okuma, Haas, and Heidenhain controls a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to work in a tool room environment in a manufacturing plant
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Lift up to 50 pounds consistently
· Vision and hearing sufficient for working with machines and tools.
