Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mold Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining molds used in the production of plastic components. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery, attention to detail, and the ability to perform quality inspections to ensure that products meet specifications. The Mold Setter will work closely with other team members to optimize production efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
Duties
- Set up and adjust molds for plastic blow molding processes.
- Operate machinery, including forklifts and lathes, as needed during the setup process.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure product specifications are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold setup and operation.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs and mold changes.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean work area.
Experience
- Proven experience in mold setting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and basic math skills for calculations related to production processes.
- Mechanical knowledge is essential, along with experience in warehouse operations.
- Previous experience with quality inspection processes is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments effectively.
