We are currently seeking an energetic, outgoing, customer service-oriented front desk coordinator who is passionate about taking care of patients' needs and optimizing office output. We are driven to provide the best vision and ocular health care to Oxford and the surrounding communities. Our practice is well-established and multifaceted - providing high-end optical products, contact lenses, and medical eye care.
As a Medical Receptionist/Patient Communication Specialist at Walton and Becker Eyecare, you will work as an important member of our heath care team, helping the team thrive, enhancing our customer experience, and supporting patients and the doctors.
Our practice has 9 office locations. There are opportunities to grow within the company at each location and with the company as a whole. We take pride in assisting employees with their goals for growth. This position is for our Oxford location. Previous experience in customer service, communications, and scheduling is required. Candidates must be willing to learn and be able to positively contribute to a team environment.
Candidate Must:
- Multi-task efficiently and effectively.

- Possess excellent phone/communication skills.

- Prefer 1-2 years customer service/scheduling
Medical Receptionist tasks can include, but are not limited to:
- patient check-in and paperwork management
- appointment scheduling
- patient communication (phone calls, texts, emails)
- completing prior authorization requests
- schedule optimization (managing pre-appointments, cancellations, wait-lists)
- appointment confirmations
- scanning of documents
- acquiring insurance authorizations, insurance eligibility
- electronic health records experience
- payment collections and billing management
- general office, optical and exam room cleaning
- general office promotion

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
