As an Optometric Assistant/Tech at Walton & Becker Eyecare, you will serve as part of our patient heath care team and make a difference in how people see their future -- supporting our growing network of patients and doctors.

  • Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Conduct preliminary eye exams and gather patient history.
  • Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist optometrists during examinations and procedures.
  • Manage inventory of optical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure a clean and aseptic environment within the clinic.

  • High level attention to detail
  • Some insurance knowledge or history with EHR systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of optical products and services.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Experience & Education

  • Requires high school diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills and excellent computer skills
  • 1 years of eye care or health care-related experience preferred
  • Must be able to walk, bend and stand for extended periods of time

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
