Software Developer - Full Stack

Position Overview: DRT LLC is looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to join our dynamic development team. This exciting opportunity involves supporting an innovative insurance startup specializing in providing tailored insurance solutions for companies in the trucking and logistics industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping how the brand is presented to the public!

• This role is part of a Hybrid Work Environment eligible to work from home up to 50% of the time. Our office is in Carter Lake, IA, just a few minutes from downtown Omaha.

Responsibilities:

• Developing front-end and back-end components.
• Database management.
• API design and integration.
• Ensuring application security.
• Testing and debugging.
• Kanban-style development.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, document, and maintain web-based applications—both front-end and back-end.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members to deliver effective solutions.
• Develop and execute tests, contributing to a robust continuous integration structure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering Required.
• Proficiency in:
• PHP or similar backend languages.
• JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
• Version control systems like Git.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience with VueJS or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with: Bootstrap, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, and Key-value databases like Redis.

Desired Experience:

• 2 years of experience working on full stack development.
• 1 year of experience working with version control software.
• 4 years of programming experience.
• The ability to independently problem-solve.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A natural understanding of business operations and requirements.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize work according to business needs, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
