Job description
The Residential Program Supervisor within Drug Abuse Treatment Association is accountable for the following:
1. Provide administrative oversight, including interviewing, onboarding, training, and scheduling, to the team of resident managers.
2. Provide and document biweekly supervision with resident managers. Supervision should incorporate strengths and growth opportunities seen while observing staff engaged with clients during shift.
3. Develop cohesion and community in the facility by serving as a positive role model to clients and other staff members, and consistently engage in appropriate behaviors and maintain a positive attitude.
4. Prevent conflict/crisis in the facility by utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques, and mediating conflicts by using a consistent, fair and appropriate approach when they do occur.
5. Regularly communicate observations and concerns with appropriate staff (i.e., Director, therapists, resident managers, etc.), and act as a liaison between the clients and program Director.
6. Embrace and enforce the rules and policies of the agency and residential facility at all times.
7. Communicate well in group and individual situations and establish rapport with a wide variety of clients.
8. Complete and review all required documentation in accordance with policies and procedures (i.e., daily logs, behavior reports, incident reports, client pass documents, medical documents, group notes, etc.).
9. Engage clients and senior resident manager(s) in the development of a monthly activities schedule with the goal of enhancing the social, behavioral, therapeutic, academic and personal development of the clients.
10. In collaboration with the agency nurse and residential team, implement the agency’s Wellness Plan.
11. Ensure the facility is welcoming and appealing to adolescents, caregivers, staff and visitors. This includes the development of age appropriate educational bulletin boards on topics relevant to the clients.
12. Facilitate transportation of clients as required. Transportation will occur in agency-owned vehicles only and all employees must meet agency requirements prior to providing transportation.
