Join the Drug Plastics Team as our Process Engineer in Valley City North Dakota! The Process Engineer is under the supervision of the Plant Manager and is responsible for Product Quality, Machine / Equipment maintenance & reliability, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) monitoring and management, as well as Machine / Equipment installation or upgrade. This is a salaried position, Monday thru Friday hours. The Process Engineer supervises Molding Supervisors, Lead Mechanics, Process Mechanics, and Maintenance Mechanics.

Minimum Requirements :
A four year BS degree in engineering or a technical field unless a waiver is granted. If a waiver is granted applicant must have either worked as a Lead or a Process Mechanic for DPG for a minimum period of at least 3 years or have same equivalent experience in extrusion and injection blow molding for a minimum period of 5 years if hired in as a new employee.A minimum of 6 months of experience as a supervisor and at least three years of plastics industry experience.A command of basic shop mathematics and mechanical concepts to a level normally possessed by a high school Vo-Tech graduate in a mechanical trade such as auto mechanics. High mechanical aptitude (above average test score in the Bennett Mechanical Aptitude test).The ability to read and write at a level of competence that is sufficient to allow the understanding of written instructions and job related technical manuals and to write reports of activities that are understandable to others.Good communication skill (oral and written).Ability to accurately complete complex mathematical calculations.A working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access.The ability to motivate and lead small groups to accomplish assigned tasks in an effective and efficient manner.The ability to troubleshoot blow molding, auxiliary, support, and automation equipmentAbility to read and interpret basic blue prints and CAD drawingsEssential Responsibilities :
Supervise set-ups and troubleshoot blow molding machines and support equipment.Supervise & perform screw maintenance activities as required.Direct and verify daily, weekly, monthly and annual scheduled preventative maintenance on machines and assures that filter maintenance is completed as scheduled. Record all maintenance activities in maintenance files.Monitor and manage the plant (CIM) – Plant Star system.Plan, supervise, and assign daily mechanic job assignments (including Lead mechanics).Assist the Plant Manager in customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.Review and complete maintenance work orders.Maintain current molding set-up sheets.Maintain and manage critical spare parts (machine / equipment).Conduct technical training as required.Assist Corporate Engineering in mold samplings, mold shipments, and special projects.Assist the Plant Manager and / or the QC Manager in pest control projects.Assist the Plant Manager with Capital Budget planning and execution.Take necessary actions to achieve or exceed the following established plant goals (approved annually by the CEO)Improvement of Production EfficiencyReduction of Cost of QualityReduction of customer complaint per million bottles produced (cc / mm)Reduction of material waste15.
