Major Areas of Responsibility Include
- Loading and unloading trucks, order picking, wrapping products, packing, labeling, shipping and receiving in accordance to DPG SOPs.
- Pulling merchandise from warehouse stock bins and shelves.
- Proper packing, tagging and labeling of the inventory in the warehouse.
- Ensure finished product is ready for shipping (i.e. shrink wrapping, ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed, completing logs)
- Stage and account for the correct lot and quantity of finished product for loading.
- Load finished product onto trailers.
Specific Responsibilities
- Assure that the sorting room is continuously stocked with pallets, cartons and other support items.
- Use forklift to move production from sorting room to stretch wrap machine as required and operate stretch wrap machine to secure product.
- Use forklift to move palletize and/or shrink wrapped product to storage in designated warehouse areas.
- Coordinate with quality control and production personnel the movement of quarantined product into and out of the quarantine and re-inspection areas.
- Verify the accuracy of all labeling information as provided by production documents and/or pick tickets.
- Operate cardboard compactor.
- Process, check and prepare customer orders for pickup.
- Load customer orders on assigned trailers.
- Unload incoming supplies, equipment and materials and move such materials to designated storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
- Effectively and fully communicate any problems to Warehouse personnel on oncoming shift.
- Maintain all areas around work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Undertake personal responsibility to become, and remain fully qualified to perform all aspects of the position as outlined in the Job Competencies for the Position of Warehouse.
- Follow safety guidelines, Company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Good mathematical skills to perform basic math calculations, to include addition and subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
- Legible penmanship to write reports that are understandable to others.
- Strong command of the written language in order to understand procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to accurately/efficiently sort and classify material.
- Demonstrated ability to make well thought out decisions and ensures appropriate courses of action are taken.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and under pressure.
- Vision must be correctable to ’20-20’ to read all necessary work related materials and visually identify defects in products being produced.
- Hearing acuity sufficient to understand spoken instructions or phone conversations in a factory environment.
- Ability to work overtime (OT) as required.
Education and Experience
- Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Plastics industry experience a plus.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

- Ability to work on ladders and scaffolds.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
