What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Packer Inspector position at Drug Plastics & Glass Co., Inc.?
The Part-Time Packer-Inspector will be responsible for packing and inspecting bottles in accordance with company policies and customer specifications.
- Packing: Obtain empty cartons from conveyor or other sources, prepare the carton to receive the product, apply carton labels, and place the cartons as necessary.
- Inspecting: Inspect bottles to ensure they meet quality standards, remove full cartons from packing stand, close the carton in accordance with company procedure, and grind all clean scrap and rejected bottles.
Additionally, the Part-Time Packer-Inspector will be responsible for completing daily production reports, notifying supervisors of any product quality problems or mechanical malfunctions, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
This role requires good mathematical skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have previous manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics industry.
The Part-Time Packer-Inspector will be working indoors and must be able to walk, stand, and lift up to 55 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision and the ability to perceive and accurately identify differences in colors and shadings.
