What are the responsibilities and job description for the PLC Programmer position at Drug Plastics & Glass Co., Inc.?
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required :
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram
- Experience with PLC hardware and software platforms commonly used in the plastics industry
ex : Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric)
ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams related to plastics production equipment
Some Responsibilities Include :
1. Develop PLC programs based on project requirements and specifications for plastics manufacturing processes
2. Design and implement control systems for automated machinery and processes within the plastics industry
3. Configure and troubleshoot PLC hardware and software components specific to plastics production lines
4. Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality in plastics manufacturing environments
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with other control systems and equipment used in plastics manufacturing
6. Provide technical support and assistance to production and maintenance teams working with plastics processing equipment
7. Document and maintain detailed records of PLC programs, configurations, and modifications for plastics manufacturing systems
8. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to PLC programming and automation within the plastics industry
