Job Summary: As Drug and Alcohol Technician, you will be responsible for conducting drug tests during and outside of regular business hours to accommodate the unique scheduling needs of our clients. This position is crucial in meeting the demands of industries that operate around the clock, such as manufacturing, healthcare, and emergency services.
The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, be willing to work in the office and travel to client sites in Eastern Kentucky and Western West Virginia. The ideal candidate will also be available for occasional call out during non-business hours (with extra pay).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct drug and breath alcohol tests at client sites and our local clinic, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the testing process. Perform drug testing collections (urine, hair and oral fluid). Perform breath alcohol collections.
- Perform occasional after-hours emergency drug and alcohol testing collections when needed (extra pay for collections outside regular business hours).
- Follow procedures for sample collection, handling, and transportation to maintain the chain of custody.
- Coordinate with clients to schedule after-hours testing appointments, demonstrating flexibility in availability to accommodate varying work shifts.
- Utilize various drug testing procedures, including urine, saliva, and hair testing, according to client specifications and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear instructions and guidance on the drug testing process.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure timely and accurate processing of collected samples.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and privacy standards, safeguarding sensitive information related to test results and donor identity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in drug testing or medical setting is preferred but not required – we will provide drug and breath alcohol testing training to provide the appropriate certifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules.
- Understanding of and adherence to regulatory requirements related to drug testing.
- Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
Pay:
· $15.00 - $18.00 per hour (plus after-hours emergency call out bonus of $50 per call out)
