What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior DevOps Engineer position at Drum Associates?
We are looking for a Senior DevOps professional to join our client, a national media organization. In this position, you will manage infrastructure projects and processes. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to the other DevOps team members. Keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a solid knowledge base are essential!
Responsibilities :
- Work closely with management to plan out and execute on long-term roadmaps
- Guide team members on best practices as well as work on helping them to progress their careers
- Work as a primary point of contact for new projects and initiatives, while providing technical advice and architectural guidance.
- Constantly strive to improve our cloud infrastructure to keep our client on the forefront of reliability and performance.
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Build and maintain the tools needed to follow a GitOps approach to application deployment
- Handle code deployments in all environments, monitor metrics, and develop ways to improve
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on DevOps processes
- Run projects and breakout teams to accomplish various deliverables
- Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery and infrastructure architecture
- Consult with peers for feedback on how best to meet the needs of the development teams
- Build, maintain, and monitor applications in an agile environment
- Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
- Manage existing CICD tools, while also continuing to evaluate if those tools fit the needs of the team
- Document and craft various processes; update existing processes
- Provide leadership around and be available for On Call rotations as well as application reliability
