Legal Administrative Assistant/Family Assistant:
Family-owned and operated real estate development company based in St. Louis, MO seeks an experienced administrative assistant to join its established in-house legal department.
Duties:
- Filing, maintenance and retention of all legal documentation generated by a busy in-house legal department with 6 attorneys and 2 paralegals.
- Serve as legal department’s primary system administrator for the department’s electronic document management system; identify and propose ways to continually improve upon the use of the electronic document management system and the department’s other filing systems.
- Work closely with the department paralegals to ensure that all legal documents are logged accurately, routed appropriately, and placed in all necessary databases/files.
- Retrieve legal information, documents and files for other departments as requested.
- Support the General Counsel and other owners/family members on various routine and non-routine family-related business as assigned.
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the General Counsel and other attorneys in the department.
- Serves as back-up to the department’s Executive Administrative Assistant.
- Typically reports to Staff Attorney or Corporate Counsel with a dotted line to the General Counsel on family-related work.
