Job Summary
Druthers in Clifton Park is seeking a friendly and organized Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, assisting with running food, bussing tables, expediting food from the kitchen and ensuring a smooth flow of service. A strong background in customer service and hospitality is essential to create a welcoming environment for our patrons. We are looking for entry level employees and lead host position. The lead host will have several years of customer service experience and can lead the department by display the characteristics of a positive, hard working leader.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using our POS system, including Aloha POS.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu and restaurant specials to assist guests with inquiries.
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely seating and service.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization at the host stand. dining area and bathrooms.
- Assist in running food, bussing tables and expediting food from the kitchen.
- Lead Host will assist in training new staff members on host/host responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
