As a Accounting Manager - Energy , on our talented and growing Accounting & Finance team, you will have an opportunity to rapidly develop your accounting and analysis skills in a fast-paced and tech-driven environment. In this role you'll lead process and represent the accounting team working closely with our energy business.
What you'll do in this role :
- Perform daily General Ledger functions such as cash, AR / AP, storage, derivatives, and clearing account reconciliations and income and expense reconciliations
- Analyze detailed trade information and reconcile data between internal trade systems and external statements.
- Lead month-end close process over several legal entities
- Monthly and annual preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Assist in annual financial audits - prepare year end work papers
- Project manage projects as needed
- Create ad-hoc reports as needed
- Monitor compliance with financial covenants
