Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Accurately process customer transactions at the cash register, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain knowledge of store products to effectively upsell and promote additional items to customers.
- Stock shelves and ensure that merchandise is organized and displayed attractively.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, striving for resolution.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting low stock levels and participating in stock counts as needed.
- Uphold store policies regarding returns, exchanges, and other customer service protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Proficient in basic math skills to ensure accurate cash handling and transactions.
