Delivery Route Driver

SUMMARY:

Drives truck or automobile over established route to deliver products or render services by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Drives truck, van or automobile to deliver product of Bolner's Fiesta Products, Inc. to customer's place of business.
• Collects money from customers and records transactions on customer receipt.
• Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.
• Insures that all deliveries are accompanied by required paperwork.
• Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.
• Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Insures the safety and security of vehicles during deliveries.
• Loads and unloads truck.
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Cleans inside of truck.
• Maintains cleanliness of Shipping Department
• Assists Shipping Supervisor with responsibilities and functions of the Shipping Department.
• Complies with all policies and procedures governing delivery of product, shipping and receiving.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have valid Texas Drivers License and be insurable under guidelines stipulated by Bolner's Fiesta Products, Inc. insurance provider. Must be certified to operate a sit down and/or stand up forklift.
