Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Insurance Negotiations Specialist with previous IICRC S500, MICA, DASH, and Xactimate experience to support our collections team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring proper/justified payout from the Insurance Adjuster, limiting improper adjustments by the Insurance Companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Negotiations:
- Review estimates and submit to Insurance/Adjusters for payment.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of project-related documentation before submission to Insurance.
- Coordinate with project managers and estimators to ensure billing is aligned with project milestones and Xactimate estimates.
- Address adjuster inquiries related to invoices and estimate discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
- Communicate with Adjusters timely, ensure proper/justified negotiations.
- Maintain detailed records of all communication and negotiation efforts.
Xactimate Expertise:
- Utilize Xactimate to review project estimates, ensuring accurate billing based on the scope of work and materials used.
- Work closely with the estimating team to resolve any discrepancies or changes in estimates.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of all negotiation and adjustment activities.
Client Relations:
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with Adjusters and clients throughout the billing and collections process.
- Address Adjusters and clients inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with MICA and DASH software is required.
- Proficiency in Xactimate is essential.
- 2 years of Insurance negotiations experience, preferably in the restoration or construction industry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimate submissions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional knowledge as an Adjuster preferred.
