Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the department budget:
- Prepares annual manufacturing budget.
- Ensures that production department is cost effective.
- Forecast to adequately meet crewing demands for peak production periods.
- Promote plant safety through education of employees, participating in executive safety committee, and enforce safety programs.

Manages the Process Lead team, Production Team Manager, Production Scheduler, and Manufacturing Engineer.
- Create, sustain, and evaluate absorbent machines performance. Maintain reports. Analyze data and drive actions to improve and sustain machine efficiencies.
- Work is project oriented, and will be working on multiple projects, all at various stages, at any given time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems to improve operational performance.
- Support new product/technology development and plant implementation.
- Develop solutions for machine optimization.
- Develop, deliver, and maintain manufacturing team training and certification programs to insure efficient operation of equipment.
- Lead cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives.
- Develop process lead team to insure adequate technical capability is maintained.
- Develop improved troubleshooting and root cause analysis through manufacturing organization.
- Development of direct reports.
- Responsible for production planning process to ensure production requirements are met and machine efficiencies are optimized.
- Strive to spend 70% of time on production floor.
- Looks for ways to improve the metrics of the production department through visual, hands on applications.
- Advises management team of problems (or potential problems) on a regular basis.
- Responsible for adherence to company policies, safety standards, quality standards and good housekeeping practices in the Production Department.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent production experience.
- Broad-based knowledge in Absorbent Products.
- Minimum 2 years consecutive employment with 1 employer
