We are seeking a Systems Administrator for our Canton MA facility to manage the installation, maintenance, configuration and repair of servers, networks and other computer systems within the organization. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and the ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and maintain a professional level of quality work and service in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
· Responsible for supporting the existing server and desktop infrastructure.
· Manage Windows, Linux, or Mac systems.
· Work directly with the IT Director in designing, planning, and supporting VMWare environment.
· Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
· Upgrade, install, and configure application software and computer hardware.
· Create and manage system permissions and user accounts.
· Manage and support Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
· Perform regular security vulnerability scans and monitoring.
· Ensure all system and security patches provided by OEMs and software vendors are deployed utilizing desktop management and software update systems/tools.
· Manage daily system backups and restores.
Required Skills
· Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
· Implementing and administering a 300 user LAN environment.
· TCP/IP and LAN/WAN network topology diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
· Proficient in managing Virtual machines, Windows Server, and VMware ESX.
· Experience managing Active Directory Environment (DNS, DHCP, GPO).
· Working knowledge of backup solutions/technology (Veeam, VRanger, etc.).
· Utilizing Desktop Manager tools (SCCM) to deploy software; image desktops.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Focused attention to detail, execution of tasks, and follow-up.
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and in a team setting.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required experience/education/training
· 5 years’ experience in a Systems Administrator role.
· Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent work experience.
· Certification in Microsoft Windows Administration or equivalent.
