Customer Service Rep Non-Exempt

Areas of Responsibility

  • Enter customer manual orders and process EDI orders
  • Edit work for accuracy and completeness
  • Confirm customer orders
  • Answer calls from customers, and make sure their questions or concerns are resolved
  • Process customer credit request
  • Maintain customer files
  • Inform production of special order request
  • Handle customer complaints and questions and follow-up with appropriate internal personnel as required
  • Send list of unscheduled orders to customers
  • Send daily booking report to General Manager, Shareholders and Logistics Coordinator
  • Answers phones, as needed
  • Work closely with shipping, the general manager and plant manager and sales
  • Ensure proper materials such as ink and paper are in supply as orders are placed
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Education & Certifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED or Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience.

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Computer and keyboarding skills using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) the internet, order processing and manufacturing software
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Read and interpret written information
  • Accurately calculate figures and amounts
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in diagram form.
  • Excellent speaking and phone communication skills.
  • Good grammar, voice and diction.
  • Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
