Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program.
- Other duties as assigned by any member of management.
- Lead department in meeting and exceeding productivity and quality standards
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Promote a success-driven culture of caring and pride across the department and the plant.
- Manage employee performance, including regular monitoring and feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action.
- Assist in new hire orientation and training, including cross-training within the department.
- Plan work effectively and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and waste.
- Communicate with maintenance department to facilitate safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
- Participate in meetings and initiatives on a plant level.
- Manage employee timecards, time off requests, and other payroll-related items.
- Submit timely and thorough reports relative to department and plant activities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the corrugated or packaging industries
- A minimum of 3 years in a lead or supervisory role
- Basic computer proficiency
- Knowledge of packaging-specific platforms is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, motivate and direct employees.
Work Environment:
- Regular work near moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and temperature variations
- Noise level is moderate to high.
- Bump caps, ear protection, eye protection, and safety shoes are required.
