Overview
- The role involves developing and maintaining documentation related to state and federal reporting, policies, procedures, and IT system requirements. The candidate will work within the Advance Planning Document (APD) Team, focusing on information technology-related documentation for federal financial proposals and planning documents.
- Business Analyst / Technical Writer in the Department for Medicaid Services, Division of Fiscal Management, APD Branch.
- Develop and maintain documentation for federal financial proposals and planning documents.
- Collaborate with agency management, project teams, and subject matter experts.
- Facilitate document review meetings for state and federal submissions.
- Ensure clarity, conciseness, and accuracy in documentation.
- Perform technical writing, editing, and proofreading.
- Maintain confidentiality throughout the documentation process.
- Minimum of three years of experience in document development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Experience in requirements gathering and document development.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and team-building skills.
- Experience in government-related financial documentation.
- Knowledge of government regulations related to grant proposals.
- Experience in healthcare IT proposals or procurement.
- Familiarity with eMars, budgeting, and accounting.
- The position requires the ability to function effectively in high-stress environments, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail, initiative, and adaptability.
