Overview

We are hiring six (6) experienced Mainframe Storage Engineers for a full-time, 100% on-site role. These positions are for local candidates only and require in-depth knowledge of mainframe storage systems, disaster recovery, virtual tape libraries, and automation tools.

Position: Full-Time, Onsite (5 Days/Week)

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to enhance storage platform efficiency
• Serve as platform technical lead and collaborate with stakeholders
• Administer and troubleshoot mainframe storage environments
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures
• Apply system and software updates as directed
• Support daily operations and provide status updates
• Assist in planning, testing, and recovery for virtual tape systems
• Develop automation using Ansible playbooks
  
  

Requirement Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7 years as a Mainframe Storage Engineer
• 7 years in virtual tape architecture monitoring and issue resolution
• 5 years with Dell/EMC, VSM, VLE, ZFS
• 5 years in IBM JCL
• 4 years in CA-1 TMS and CA Vantage
• 4 years in Disaster Recovery for virtual tape systems
• 3 years designing and building SMS
• 2 years with DDMC, TSO, ISPF
• Proficient in Linux command-line
• Experience with InsightIQ, z/OS, Dell EMC DLm8500
• Strong documentation and Ansible automation skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cyber Recovery for virtual tape
• Proven in designing and managing multi-node storage architectures
• Experience in federal environments
• Skilled in scripting and migration strategies
• Self-driven with high attention to detail

• Must be a local candidate to respective job location (within 50-mile radius)
• 100% onsite position remote not allowed
• Public Trust clearance required
