Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data/Platform Architect with experience in building application and data platforms on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong architectural design skills, technical leadership abilities, and be experienced in managing and leading offshore teams. This role is hybrid, with candidates expected to be onsite in Santa Monica 3 days a week.

Position: Contract

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectural designs for software applications, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and design scalable systems.
• Design and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.
• Architect solutions for integrating AI/ML models into applications.
• Ensure software security by following best practices and complying with relevant regulations.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience architecting on the AWS platform and building application and data platforms.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and database management.
• Experience leading and managing offshore teams.
• Experience in the Life Sciences domain is required.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of web security standards and secure coding practices.
  
  

Additional Information

• This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite per week in Santa Monica, CA.
• Strong communication skills are essential for this position.
