Overview

Seeking a Sr. Abinitio Developer/Data Engineer with a strong background in AbInitio development and experience working with Big Data platforms, preferably Cloudera. This role is a 12-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity requiring strong data pipeline development skills and hands-on experience in data integration.

Position

12-Month Contract-to-Hire (C2H)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Teams to gather data requirements
• Design and build AbInitio data graphs and pipelines
• Transform and prepare data for consumption by various applications
• Support and enhance data pipelines
• Document technical designs and operational runbooks
  
  

Requirement Qualifications

• 10 years of IT experience, mainly in Data Integration/Data Warehousing
• 5 years of hands-on ETL development using Ab Initio
• 1 2 years of Big Data integration experience on Hadoop (preferably Cloudera)
• AbInitio CDC experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with HDFS, Hive, Impala, and related Hadoop tech
• Working knowledge of SQL and ability to write optimized queries
• Experience with OLTP/OLAP models and data warehouse fundamentals
• Some experience with AWS and Java (preferred)
• Unix/Linux shell scripting proficiency
• Experience in Agile development methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
  
  

Additional Information

• Must be currently working as or have prior hands-on experience as an AbInitio developer
• Will be part of a scrum team of 7 8 members focused on building scalable data pipelines
• Candidate should require minimal guidance and possess strong database fundamentals

• Must be local or willing to commute weekly to Reston, VA
