POSITION SUMMARY:
The position will be responsible for converting shop orders categorized as general pack.

DUTIES:
- Complete general pack shop orders.
- Prioritize shop orders by due date and complexity of job.
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used or dimensions and tolerances.
- Ensure production/quality levels are met and generate minimal scrap.
- Complete all paperwork reporting of material and labor as required.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures (health, safety and environment) to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
- Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
- As required, provide training based on control plans to new and/or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses.
- Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, and completion of training.
- Communication Skills- Active Listening and Verbal Communication; Actively participating in a team environment.
- Basic Computer skills.
- Visual acuity to examine or inspect material.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, order jackets, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures.
- Standing for sustained periods of time.
- Making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Frequently lifting and/or moving material weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally required to sit; climb and stoop, kneel or crouch.
