DSG is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Data Intern in our Fargo, ND location. This 12-week summer internship program is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR analytics, while contributing to projects that enhance employee experience and contribute to the overall success of the organization. As an HR Data Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources team by leveraging data to drive informed decisions and improve HR processes. The role will include gathering, analyzing, and reporting on HR and people-related data, assisting in talent acquisition and retention strategies, compensation reviews, and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs).

A Typical Day in the Life of an HR Data Intern at DSG:
- Data Collection and Management:
- Gather and compile HR data from various sources, including HRIS, surveys, and other databases.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through data cleaning and validation.
- Maintain and organize HR data in a structured and accessible format.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to employee performance, engagement, turnover, and other key metrics.
- Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to HR team members.
- Assist in the development of dashboards and data-driven presentations.
- Talent Acquisition and Retention Support:
- Assist in analyzing recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing and selection strategies.
- Support the analysis of employee turnover data to identify potential areas for improvement in retention efforts.
- Assist with creating reports on time to fill, cost per hire, and other recruiting metrics.
- Compensation and Benefits Support:
- Assist in compensation reviews by gathering and analyzing market data.
- Support the analysis of benefits utilization and effectiveness.
- KPI Development and Monitoring:
- Assist in identifying and defining key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR initiatives.
- Monitor and track KPIs to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and strategies.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in identifying areas for process improvement through data analysis.
- Support the implementation of data-driven solutions to enhance HR efficiency.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HR team.
- Current enrollment in a college or university taking at least 6 creditsduring either the spring or summer 2025 semesters; program of study must be related to Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analysis, Statistics, or other related field.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
