An industry leading government vessel manufacturer is looking to hire a Chief Naval Architect to their growing team. The Chief Naval Architect will be a people manager and responsible for overseeing all engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain training programs and standardized processes for the engineering team.
- Determine resource needs to support business goals and maintain departmental capabilities aligned with engineering efforts.
- Manage and integrate technical activities in engineering projects, including reviewing and approving design changes.
- Oversee department budgets and participate in bid and proposal development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in engineering
- 7 years of experience in project management, systems engineering, or naval architecture
- Strong understanding of ABS standards
- Experience working with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Ship Constructor
- Proven leadership experience
